News, anyone!!
Was watching the news yesterday, and y'know what i realised? The power of "News 24/7"...
They kept playing the bit, where Uma Bharti's supporters went on a rampage, for the entire evening!! Just wondering.... aren't children encouraged to watch news channels?? And what are we showing them now? Violence?? Then why are people so surprised with the violence in the "younger" generation?
On a different note, the feud in the saffron brigade gave some life to these news channels.... It's a little better to see than the ruckus raised over the Volcker report..... surprisingly, no other country mentioned in the report seemed to have taken the allegations seriously!!
Coming back to the feuds in the various political parties and the personalities and egos involved.... whereas I think Uma Bharti is plain arrogant, I quite side with Raj in the Sena fracas. And I know for a thing that most guys my age think the same.... he has what we call the "Charisma" to be a politician, whereas Uddhav still looks like a little kid lost in the big bad world of politics.... this, 10 years after he took over the reins of the Sena!!
